Brand Gating as official reseller
Hi all,
I've been searching on the forums and I cannot find a straight answer (if there is one.)
We are official resellers and we have been selling on Amazon US for many many years. Now we received a couple of mails stating "As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible customer experience, we have implemented additional restrictions for XXXXXXX products." and "You are not approved to list XXXXXXX products and we are currently not accepting applications."
Since we have official contracts with the official producer and parent company of these brands, we find it strange to have received these emails. Some of the brands got removed and blocked the same day as the mail arrived, some other will be blocked in a month or so.
I opened the case 15971840651 with seller support asking if the brand owner registered for these brands is something else then the brands (maybe a group, parent company or third party company) and who asked for our listings to be removed, but of course they weren't able to help us.
Have anyone as a official reseller had this problem, and if so, what was the resolution? We also have stock in FBA of these brands so we find it extremely unreasonable that some of these brands got blocked without any notice.
Any help or information would be appreciated.
Best regards

Is it POSSIBLE that the brand has sent Amazon a "whitelist" of approved sellers and did not have you on it?
More and more brands are providing such a "whitelist" of their approved sellers and if YOU are NOT on the list you will be stopped in your tracks and probably hit with an IP violation.
I had one of my brands stop me because they CHANGED the company they hired to screen sellers. The NEW screener did not recognize my Amazon store name because I do all my purchases under a different LLC. It took a couple weeks to get straightened out and no problems since then.

Are you added to the brands registry? Sometimes that is the only solution.

Greetings @Seller_UpqGKQmxGGeXu,
Thank you for reaching out with your concerns with your eligibility for a Brand. In general Amazon will not share any details regarding why a product, category, or brand requires approval or is not accepting applications. If the Brand is Brand Registered you may be able to get approval if you are approved for a Reseller Role in the Brand's Brand Registry but this can only be done by the Brand. Thank you for your understanding.
