Problems creating a new listing with authentic GS1 barcode being flagged as invalid.

I have been trying to create a new listing with a one off GS1 barcode I bought directly from the GS1 website. I have been trying for over 2 weeks to no avail. Still getting this message, "The SKU does not match any ASIN and contains invalid value(s) for attributes required for creation of a new ASIN." If I look up my UPC everything shows up and matches up with all of the info that I have provided.

No real help from support, only received template answers and I was told to try uploading it via feed. After trying to upload the file, I get an error saying "The parent SKU was refused because there exists at least one non-approved package_contains relationship. Address any other issues associated with the SKU before re-submitting the relationship." and I am unable to get past this error, no matter what I try. Again, no help from support, they keep sending me links without answers.

I am stuck. Seems some people were able escalate this issue to an internal team to get manually verified, but I am being gate kept by the support team. I have already explained to them that we own our own brand, own the trademark, and everything on GS1 matches up with our claims. What can I do to get this listing up and running? My products are sitting here waiting to be shipped. Any help would be much appreciated.

It takes about 2 weeks for the new GS1 prefix and associated GTINs to become registered.

I would keep trying. At the 1 month point you know for sure you have a problem

It took about 3 weeks to resolve but finally got it done. No details on what happened or who did what on the back end, just a lot of back and forth of trouble shooting, and eventually the error code that says the UPC barcode is invalid stopped coming up. Went on to create the listing, received the email that says the listing was created but the actual listing never showed up. After waiting for a few days and trying to relist it, still nothing. Support couldn't figure out what was wrong. Since the listing creations were going through, but the listings weren't showing up. I decided to try relisting it again, this time without using our own SKU number by leaving that field blank, and it finally worked. Only downside is that we have to use the automated SKU number.

Conclusion, if you are getting the invalid UPC barcode message because of the one off GS1 barcodes, save yourself some time and escalate it via the forums, as regular support won't be able to help you. Once your case is escalated follow their lead, but keep trying different methods as some support team members may not have had the chance to deal with certain problems before, and the system could be a bit off at times.

Just wanted to follow up and share my experience for future sellers who run in to something similar.

Thanks to @Rose_Amazon and Daniel from the support team. Took a bit longer than I would have liked but we got the listing up and running. Cheers, on to the next one.
