Using buy postage issues

So now i have been forced to use the buy postage option from Amazon rather than use stamps like i used to i am getting so many more “item not received” messages from buyers asking for refunds.

I can only put this down to the QR codes not being scanned by royal mail thus showing the item is never delivered on the order and the buyer is guaranteed a claim.

I used stamps for years on Amazon and have never had so many claims as i do since changing over to buy postage.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Also does anyone know if there is a work around yet where i can still use stamps instead of the stupid buy postage option?

Are you using 24/48 CRL? If so only about 70% of them get scanned on delivery.

Buying postage off amazon won’t have affected your claims rate, you moved from an untracked method into an untracked method. How you buy the postage won’t affect the amount of claims you get.

Its possible that what you mean is that now customers receive a “tracking number” which tells them the item they have in their hand wasn’t delivered and gives them the idea to claim (or Amazon emails them and tells to claim!) - this happens no matter where you buy your label from though - its not cause you bought your postage on Amazon

I send around 200 a month on Amazon and just have 1 item not received for last month - I also went from stamps to buy postage online via Amazon, and have not had an increase in items not received. I do a double address label and ask for a scan on delivery and cover the address and QR code with clear tape - maybe that helps.

See an example picture from a label I printed on a different online platform:

Ah ok, just that if you use click and drop without a proper RM business account and buy 1st or 2nd large letter, the dispatch numbers dont seem to work for VTR so looking to see if anyone has any tips

I too have stopped using stamps and started buying postage off Amazon but have not seen an increase in INR cases. I don’t see how swapping one untracked method for another will sudenly awaken a latent dishonesty within your customers!
It’s more likely late delivery by an overstretched Royal Mail.

I sell approx 50 items a day letter or large letter on eBay and I’ve just had a look through my past weeks sales and a lot of them are showing the same as above, ‘DELIVERY RECORDED’ but I’m not sure how true it actually is.

Hi I’ve just been forced to stop using stamps and start buying postage through amazon. They suspended my product and marked it a blocked until I sent an appeal. I haven’t recieved my first order yet even though I’ve sold hundreds using a 2nd class stamp and am very unprepared of what to do next. My product it x12 Stickers sent in a dl sized envelope, I doubt the labels are smaller than 4x6 WHAT DO I DO? can you even but 2nd class postage label through amazon?

Thanks for the info everyone. Amazon have really thrown a spanner in the works, it was all so easy. Can you calrify, i now buy the postage through Amazon Buy, 2nd class was 0.75p with a stamp, do I now have to buy 2nd class tracked with royal mail to please Amazons VTR? I also have to buy a new printer for the labels seen as my current label printer only dows 2 x 4 and my product printer prints 15 x 40 mm clear stickers. Thanks.

So I have selected buy postage, entered dimensions and it has given me the options for postage. I selected RM 2nd Class at 0.75p and under confirmation I have the message (Note: The carrier selected does not offer the confirmation method in your preferences… )

Hello. I have just recieved an order from Ireland EU classed as international delivery. For a DL envlope wieghing 4g my only option is for DHL Economy at 18.oo and DHL Express at 20.58 delivery. For an order forth 6.99 this is not appropriate. Do I cancel the order and refund? There are no other delivery options. Sorry my pound key isnt working.

Thanks.
