Package the items, purchase one label for one item and then manually enter the tracking number for the other items in the package.

To 'manually enter the tracking number', click on 'confirm shipment' rather than 'buy shipping'.
This will save you a lot on shipping costs. But it will open an opportunity for scammers.
To protect yourself, send an email to the customer, telling them what you have done. Include the weight of the package in your email. The primary purpose of such an email is to get the facts recorded where SS reps cannot miss them.
Secondarily, it reassures the nervous but honest customer who thinks that you might be scamming him.
