Bank Doesn’t Provide Certified Letter for UK Verification

I am facing an issue with our Amazon UK account verification. The verification failed because Amazon is asking for a Certified Bank Letter for the Primary Beneficial Owner.

I contacted our bank HSBC, but they informed us that they do not provide any such document. However, HSBC has informed me that due to their internal anti-fraud policies, they do not provide stamped or signed letters. They have agreed to issue an official letter on HSBC letterhead, but without a stamp or signature.

Has anyone else faced this issue recently? If yes, what document did you submit that worked in place of the certified bank letter? Any help or guidance on the next steps would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I had the same issue. Due to a glitch in the system, the deposit method in the UK was deactivated. I wasn’t able to verify it for the same reason.

I spent several hours at HSBC and on the phone to them, and eventually found the person who has confirmed they can issue such a letter. HSBC later called me to say they wouldn’t include all the required information, nor would they stamp or sign the document. They even charged me for issuing the letter, but it’s been over two weeks and I still haven’t received it.

I had a Wise business account, from which I was able to download a bank statement and a letter confirming the company details. Wise provides both documents stamped and signed. I merged them into one file (note: one of the documents didn’t include the address, only the company name).

Amazon approved it, and three days later I was able to request the payment.

Good luck!
