E-Vat Europe - anyone used them?
Hello,
We are currently selling in Europe and would like help with how to go about VAT in the 4 main marketplaces (IT, DE, ES, FR). It's all quite confusing for me to get my head around!
I've done a bit of research and found E-VAT Europe are highly thought of - is that still the case?
Has anyone had recent dealings with them and can recommend before I take the plunge ?
Do they also help with OSS if needed ?

Yes, I have been working with Giuseppe and his team at E-VAT for many years. Always had a fantastic, personal service. Always very high standard of work, on time and efficient. Any queries from any European VAT offices are rare but always dealt with quickly. They also registered and deal with OSS as well.
I wish other providers I worked with were as good so I can thoroughly recommend - I wouldn't work with anyone else for my EU VAT!

e-VAT Europe are the third VAT agents we've used and we've been with them for about 5 years. We had problems with other agents - our first was obsessed with new business versus dealing with the clients they had, the second was ever changing staff and lots of work each month.
With e-VAT Europe things are very efficient and consistent with minimal work to do each month. Giuseppe has given great advice and has helped to sort out problems with various tax offices. We had a very long saga trying to reclaim VAT from Poland and we managed to get money back, it wasn't easy, other agents in the past said it wasn't possible. Tomek helped me to set up a bank account in Poland so we could reclaim the money, he even came to the bank with me.
They do OSS for our Amazon business. I think they may also be able to help if you need IOSS for any UK to EU sales off Amazon but we do IOSS via an Estonian company we have set up.
I would totally recommend them.

Found E-VAT on this forum long time ago and been their client since 2019-2020. Good with ongoing monthly & quarterly returns as well as more complicated issues when transferring companies to another country. They have dealt with tax offices directly and all issues were resolved promptly.
They do OSS calculations for us at a small fee and we just input the values in the local tax portal/system ourselves, but they can file OSS for you too if needed.
Of course it takes some time to get new VAT registrations in place, but it is normal. Some numbers come in very quickly, others take a bit longer, depends on the country.
You can also rest assured you have a constant contact/connection with the VAT team while the same could not be said when you deal with large tax accounting corporations (according to some stories in this forum).

I have been using E-VAT Europe for over seven years. I found them through this forum. During my research at the time, I discovered that Giuseppe, the owner of E-VAT Europe, has extensive experience dealing with European tax authorities. They have also helped me with more complicated situations. Additionally, they handle OSS and IOSS.
Once the registration is done, there are fewer hassles. You simply need to send the Amazon VAT report at the beginning of the month, and they take care of the rest. We only need to make payments, if required, to the EU VAT authorities.

I find it hilarious that out of nowhere, this guy Giuseppe, is being praised once again. A few years back, he was somewhere else, Avalara maybe and apparently he was better than sliced bread. He was also extremely busy by the sounds of it.
Now, he does all this amazing work for all these sellers who have never posted on the forum before.
I have no input either way whether this company is any good or not. Maybe Giuseppe is the company, maybe it's a big setup. All I say is "buyer beware" and treat these "recommendations" as you would any glowing reviews you may come across on the internet.

We have been with E-VAT since 2019 and have never experienced other EU accountants as we went with E-VAT through a recommendation from another fellow Amazon seller and not wanting to use AMZ own VAT services after hearing all sort of issues with them. One of the advantages is that you get a direct access with Giuseppe via WhatsApp and he is quick to reply. He has been extremely helpful in getting us registered with OSS, VAT and recommendation for EPR compliance.

I use them for last 6 or 7 years. Tested three providers and stopped on them.
My decision was based mainly because I can work with real person which is a necessity when you work with VATs in Europe. If you're considering various providers, I'd be keeping this as a main point when making your decision on provider's choice.
