ungating questions
Hello sellers!
I'm new to selling on amazon, and I have a few questions that I hope someone can help me answer. When ungating I've notice that some items don't require me to apply to sell, does that mean it's a auto ungated brand? Also, when applying to get ungated can I use an order detail page, some companies don't provide invoices. For my last question will 10 units instead of 100-unit work to get ungated?

I don't know of any reputable wholesale sources that do not provide real invoices. Where are you sourcing your products from?
"When ungating I've notice that some items don't require me to apply to sell, does that mean it's a auto ungated brand?"
Maybe yes, maybe no, but if it is a BRANDED item and you don't have the proper authorizations and invoices you place your account at risk EVERY TIME you list an item.
"For my last question will 10 units instead of 100-unit work to get ungated? "
If they say 100 they MEAN 100. Why would you even think that?

HINT #3 -- Start writing your "please help with my Section 3 suspension' letter NOW. It will save you time when you get it.
For any rookies out there reading this, it is a near perfect example of how to get suspended on Amazon.
BEFORE even trying to start selling, ask yourself these questions --
DO YOU have an LOA from the brand allowing you to sell on here?
DID YOU source from AUTHORIZED wholesale sources that your rep at the brand says are OK.
NOTE that you need verification from the brand that the source is legitimate and authorized, NOT from one of those gray market sellers touted on TikTok and YouTube as having "thousands of brands and products" and assure you that they are authorized.
If you have watched any YouTube or TikTok videos FORGET everything you saw there.
Spend hours/days on Seller U and read the Forum to see all the really creative ways rookies find to get suspended by ignoring the advice above!

Hello there @Seller_9EqG8q2evLfBd
My name is CR and wanted to provide you with a few resources that I'd recommend you reviewing. What you see on YouTube and TikTok need to be taken with a grain of salt, as those are usually online "gurus" who don't have the full set of information and/or are looking for views and clicks.
As recommended above, Seller University is the best place to learn and review anything related to selling with Amazon. Some resources on sourcing and invoices I'd recommend reviewing immediately are:

You are going to need legitimate invoice and not an order detail page; Amazon routinely rejects valid invoices, so whatever you submit better be pretty solid.
Invoicing is a HUGE problem with Amazon right now; due to their increased use of bots (poorly programmed at best) and incompetent seller support (that refuses to question the bots), 3P seller shave no idea what Amazon thinks a valid invoice is anymnore.
