Account Deactivated under Section 3 for Product without Invoice—Seeking Guidance
Hello Fellow Sellers,
I’m seeking advice regarding our suspended Amazon seller account. One of our employees mistakenly listed a product on Amazon without the proper invoices and seller agreements. As a result, Amazon deactivated our account under Section 3 and is now asking us to provide invoices to prove the product’s authenticity.
Unfortunately, we never made any purchases for this product and therefore cannot provide the required documentation. We have since removed the listing, but our account remains suspended.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation? What steps can we take to get our seller account reactivated?
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.

Why did you offer any product for sale on Amazon that you did not have in your possession?

Fire your employee for their potentially business destroying mistake. Try to appeal stating said employee has been fired and hope for the best.

All you have to do is read the Forum on a daily basis. I think there were at least two or three identical stories today alone.

Pray to whatever Gods or Goddesses that you believe in because it is increasingly difficult to recover from this issue.
For any rookies out there thinking of selling things on Amazon and creating an ASIN to "test" if it can be listed or not THINK AGAIN and DO NOT do that and pay attention to the following --
There are two important questions that you need to address these days for selling on Amazon --
DO YOU have an LOA from the brand allowing you to sell on here?
DID YOU source from AUTHORIZED wholesale sources that your rep at the brand says are OK?
If you don't already have these in place you are probably going to have stranded inventory.

Pay attention to this recent story in the Amazon 'news' from September 25, 2024 --
"Updates to listing products with compliance requirements, effective September 30, 2024"

Sellers were given a 5 day warning that this was being put in place. Sellers have posted that LOAs are required in Europe, you can see the handwriting on the walls -- this is coming for EVERYTHING on Amazon eventually!
