Lost inventory was reimbursed at less than my cost
So I had a FBA shipment of 175 items and the shipment was lost by Amazon. They conducted an investigation, and they ended up reimbursing me for the shipment. However, the invoice that I submitted clearly showed that the items cost me $12.99 each and yet I was only reimbursed for $11.40 each.
When I pointed that out I was just given the canned answer: "The reimbursement amount is determined in accordance with the FBA lost and damaged inventory reimbursement policy and related FBA Service Terms of the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement."
Why should I take a loss of $278.25 when the shipment was lost by Amazon through no fault of my own?
The case number is: 13140266221
Thank you,
Mark

Can someone at least explain to me what Amazon’s reimbursement policy is when they lose FBA inventory that you ship in? I’ve been searching around and I haven’t been able to find anything definitive.
Thank you
