Amazon FBA Warehouse Lost My Inventory but Only Reimbursed 40% – Is This Normal?

I recently shipped a batch of products to an Amazon FBA warehouse, but unfortunately, my inventory was lost. Amazon has offered to reimburse me, but they've only covered 40% of the total product cost.

Amazon confirmed that they lost 86 units and that they would reimbursement. I received the reimbursement today and the amount for each unit is $2.41(FBA Reimbursement Id:16101332951)

If Amazon didn't lose my units and I could sell them, I would get $6.14 after all fees are deducted from every sale.

Amazon lost my inventory and it wasn't my fault. Amazon needs to take responsibility.

Their reply ''The reimbursement amount is determined in accordance with the FBA lost and damaged inventory reimbursement policy and related FBA Service Terms of the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement.''

Do you have an actual selling history that would prove you get $6.14 after all fees are deducted, or is this your first time sending the product in with no sales history?

FBA is reimbursing based on the market price they "believed" it should worth of.

For example, although you could sell a product for $12, deducted fees you received $6.

But Amazon believed this product should only be priced at $10, so after deducting fees they'll reimburse you $4

You can continue to ask them to investigate and locate your items, and if they do found the items, they will debit back the reimbursed amount and return the inventories to your account.

Of course, I have a sales history and am still selling this product. You can see my sales history in the attachment.

It has been almost two months since this case started, not to mention that FBA fees were lower at that time. You can assume that the sales price is $13.35 and deduct all fees (the FBA fee is the peak-time fee). The remaining amount is $5.57. The Amazon reimbursement amount is $2.41 so not even 50% of the cost.

If you think this is fair, I have nothing to say.

We are slowly converting many of our listings from FBA to FBM because Amazon are losing products, are shipping late or never and authorizes all the returns no question ask. With FBA, you lose ALL control.

Hello

We just had the same thing happened

8 lost

4 paid @ $11.30

4 paid at @ $5.65 (half the price )

we created a case

they replied case with this answer

" items were under "DEFECTIVE" disposition in warehouse before it got misplaced in the warehouse.

As per the updated reimbursement policy, for unsellable items, we reimburse you at a valuation consistent with the estimated proceeds of the discounted sale of the unit."

which warehouse? I'm having the same issue. A complete shipment lost value over 30K of inventory and I have the proof of delivery and the signature of the person who received it, yet it has been over a month and not resolved yet. in addition I had a defect in a separate shipment where one box was overweight by 2KG. Amazon sent me pictures of this box, now they claim that they do not have it. Always the same warehouse.
