Search suppressed listings for "product description required but not supplied"
We have many, many seller-fulfilled listings that are continually suppressed and re-suppressed for "product description required but not supplied," but when you go to "edit listing" the description shows up. If we re-save it that does not solve the problem, so we have to open cases for dozens of asins since only Amazon can correct the problem (using the description that is already there), and then do this again every few months when they are re-suppressed. We have been told various things, and each one we have corrected, and are safe-listed for these brands, but we still have to have Amazon fix the suppression with a case. The associates never really know why the items are suppressed, and they rarely send these problems up for further investigation to prevent these problems in future. (And the one time they did we never got an actual answer). This causes sellers to lose days of listings and possible sales. In addition, Amazon removes the weights from items that are search suppressed, so if you have a shipping template that is based on weight, your shipping charges are calculated insufficiently. Somehow customers always find these search suppressed items with inaccurate shipping, and of course they purchase since they can get something shipped for a ridiculously low fee. Then we have to cancel the order because we can't afford to ship it, which goes against our Account Health. We have reported this to Amazon repeatedly, but have been completely ignored. Again, the associates can't answer the question and don't have it investigated. While we're appreciative that the associates can eventually get the inaccurate and unnecessary suppressions lifted, we should not be going through this all the time, and sellers deserve answers to these issues, instead of going through the same problems over and over again, losing potential sales in the process. Why would we pay to advertise on Amazon to increase sales when they make it harder for third-party sellers in the first place? Makes no sense......

"but when you go to "edit listing" the description shows up."
If you are just clicking on the 'edit' function of the inventory page you are wasting your time!
You have to click on the 'suppressed' tab to open the issue. THEN you have to write ( or copy and paste like I do) the description into the little box there and click 'save.'
Then wait a few hours/days for it to populate!
