Brand and Private Title

Hello everyone,

I am new on Amazon. I have a handmade account and registered as an individual. Could someone explain to me how to register a brand? What are the benefits of brand registration? Are private labels and brands related in any way? What is a private label, anyway?

Best regards

Hello @Seller_1Lsv1n5m03GYE,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I can certainly assist.

This is the best place to get started: Launch your brand with Amazon.

All the benefits are listed on the link above. Once on the page, just continue scrolling down. Each benefit has a link to learn more and a link to a video.

For more of a list of selling benefits, take a look at the Brand Registry selling roles help page and the table under the "Brand selling benefits," section.

For a list of protection benefits, take a look at the Brand Registry protection roles help page and the table under the "Brand protection benefits," section.

The answers to your private label questions depend on how you are defining a private label. The answer MIGHT reside in the enrollment requirements for Amazon Brand Registry or the Amazon brand Name Policy which does have a section answering the question "What is considered a brand on Amazon?"

Hope these resources help and please let me know if you have any other questions.

Best, Dougal
