Pet Supplements Restriction?
Hello,
We got a brand registry completed in Amazon but didn't allowed to sell on Pet supplement category. This is what got from seller support,
"To maintain a safe and trustworthy shopping experience, we restrict certain products from being listed or sold on Amazon."
We have provided all the documents asked also as i said we have a brand which is already approved but our ASINs are inactive. When i try to request approval, it's not working.
Can somebody who face same issue help please? Or dear amazon supervisors, can you please clarify the issue? I understand that Amazon doesn't want us to sell these products but why? Is it regarding our seller account? or product ingredients? or documents we provided? Please help. We invest too much to sell our products to sell on Amazon. We deserve better explanation. Also when i check the catalog on amazon.com, i see that some of new offers like posted 1 week ago. This is really interesting.

Amazon never gives clear explanations. If they say that YOU are not allowed to list pet supplements you just have to accept it. There is neither a human right on selling specific products on Amazon, nor is Amazon a democratic institution. A very small research showed me that A LOT of these supplements are sold BY AMAZON, this could explain things....
That would be someone selling pet supplements. The possibility that such a person reads your thread is very slim. And if, he will certainly not help a potential future competitor....

Hello @Seller_2Km3MWbXOrCHg,
Thanks for posting here. Amazon requires approval to sell in many categories and in some instances restrictions and policies change. As the Amazon catalog grows, we continuously make new determinations on which products should be restricted, which is based on a number of factors. Amazon does this to ensure authenticity and customer satisfaction. These requirements may change in the future, and you can check which selling restrictions are applicable to your product by searching for it in 'Add a Product'. If we are accepting applications, you will see the Apply to sell option next to the product search results.
I would recommend monitoring the Categories and products that require approval and Overview of categories pages to check if the requirements for your category changes in the future.
Regards,
- Manny
