TRYING TO CLOSE ACCOUNT

I have been trying to close my account for weeks, but I can't, as I APPARENTLY have 2 (TWO!) inventory items in "reserve". They've been in reserve for weeks, even though I haven't put them in reserve, and I've never sold anything, so I know they aren't en route to a customer. Does anyone know how to resolve this and close their account, or does Amazon just make you keep the account open so they can continue to collect fees?

Hello @KPSM_FBA_LLC

Thanks for reaching out to the Amazon Forums.

These are the steps to take before closing your seller account:

  1. Fulfill any outstanding orders.
  2. Wait 90 days after your last sale to ensure the A-to-z Guarantee claims period is honored.
  3. Wait until you have a zero balance in your account (your next disbursement or charge date).
  4. Resolve all of your transactions with buyers, including issuing any necessary refunds.
  5. Confirm that your bank account information on file is up-to-date to receive a final payment.
  6. Check your Performance notifications to make sure that all the reasons for your account's suspension have been resolved and your account is restored.

For additional information, you can visit the "Close your seller account“ help page.

If you meet all the points mentioned above and you still have not been able to close your account, please open a case with our Seller Support team.

Best,

Nano
