Witholding funds
My case is particularly different. My account was deactivated in late January 2023 for dropshipping (13 months ago). I appealed unsuccessfully and waited 90 days to request funds and was also unsuccessful and they wanted lots of information but I had a baby at the same time and got caught up and forgot. Fast forward 13 months and I requested release of my funds again.
They had me go through a video appeal (which I did) and present documents and all of that. They also asked me the amount I was requesting (which was the original amount being withheld from when the account was deactivated. A few days later the disbursements team emailed me back that they would release "all my funds" and that the appeal was successful. Here's where it gets tricky. I had a little over 5K in funds up until the last statement of 2023. There were no chargebacks, no claims, no refunds, no anything.
Then all of sudden in January 2024 the funds reduced to $79. Yes! 5.1K less than originally withheld. It was random, there was no explanation under transactions except for the words "other". My funds being withheld just disappeared. Is this normal?
Either way when I requested they release the $5.2K on the video call appeal the guy I was talking to agreed that that was the amount on the account and took note of it. Am I wrong to assume that if the disbursements team emails me back that my appeal was successful and that they would release "all" my funds that I should be expecting the $5.2K?
They initiated the deposit of $79 that same day they emailed me and deposited the $79 today (two weeks later) and I asked them almost 2 weeks ago where is the rest and I haven't heard back. I'm highly considering escalating this only because I find it disingenuous that they would hear me ask specifically for the release of the $5.2K, approve my appeal, tell me they would release ALL my funds, and then proceed to only release $79 and then leave me in the dark for two weeks.
I will give the benefit of the doubt that they are reviewing my messages and will reply soon but it would be nice to hear back.
