Closing FBA account permanently without closing Amazon account

In 2016 I asked to have all of my FBA inventory returned because FBA is not a good option for my business. Now in 2024 I am still being charged for storage fees and disposal periodically. How do I get this to stop!!!!!

Although I have my account set to dispose of anything found, the latest indignity is a product the warehouse found in May . They didn't destroy it and are charging storage fees for it instead.

According to my records, the product , a book, was lost by the warehouse in 2010, FOURTEEN YEARS AGO. The customer service rep tells me it was recently found in a doorknob box. Clearly I didn't put it there and my business only sells books so this doorknob is not related to my inventory. This kind of bizarre charge is hugely annoying and these kinds of charges are ongoing, even more annoying.

I have been told that the only way to delete my FBA SKUs is to permanently close my account, which I don't want to do. I will NEVER ship to FBA again, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. Surely, having asked to have all my inventory removed in 2016, and never sending anything since, makes this point.

How do I permanently opt out of FBA without closing my Amazon account?

Thanks you for your help.

PS: the categories to choose from for this problem don't even include this issue, another hugely annoying detail.

There is no opting out of FBA.

You either use it or you don't.

If you have a piece somewhere out there in FBA it will accrue a fee.

Check your FBA Inventory reports and recall or dispose of anything that shows up.

You do not have separate accounts -- you have a single selling account which allows you to sell either FBM or FBA or both.

Hello @Seller_2qm2poP8fK7iT

My name is Sandy from the Community manager team. Thank you for your post here.

You shouldn't be charged fees if your inventory for FBA is truly at zero. I would recommend using the tools to run reports on storage fee reports and SKU economics report.

Please visit the help page here: List of useful fee tools

If you run this and everything is at a zero, please let me know.

Best,

Sandy
