Company Using a Generic Product as Theirs and Then Complaining Others Who ME TOO

I have had warning from Amazon as a Private Label company complaining that I am using counterfeit products while using their listing. However, I am using a generic product just like theirs, and they do not even have a logo and company name in the picture. So can someone claim a generic product as theirs?

It has been violated due to its similarity. You need to send a message to Amazon and the violating brand.

Amazon updated their Generic Product Policy in October. The key bit is in bold. It's been assumed that you can no longer add to a Generic listing now. Though the below would suggest you shouldn't have been able to add an offer in the first place. It's possible though it only applies to Generic listings created since October 2023.

"Generic products are unbranded products that do not belong to any identifiable brand, and should use the string “generic” for the brand name field when creating a new listing. If you create a new product listing with the brand name “generic” or its local translation, other sellers won’t be able to make product detail page changes or add offers. This helps customers differentiate among similar-looking generic products.

If you try to change a product detail page for or add offers on another seller’s generic product, you’ll receive a listing error. You will then be guided to create a new product in Add Products."
