Amazon Charges My Credit Card for the Account Closed 5 Years Ago

Amazon just charged my credit card for the account that has been suspended by Amazon more than 5 years ago. I don’t even have any access to the seller account because of suspension, I cannot do anything, and my account suspended more than 5 years, and they started to charge my credit card for it.

There is no phone number you can talk to, really crazy, unbelievable

Greetings from Amazon Services. We have charged your credit card for $10.00 in an attempt to settle your Amazon seller account balance. Note that the amount charged to your credit card may be less than the total amount you owe due to a credit limit imposed by your bank. If that is the case, we will continue to charge your card as often as every 24 hours until the remaining balance in your Amazon seller account is paid in full. You can also use the Make a Payment feature to repay the balance you owe. For more information, see Making a Payment. You can view your payment activity at any time by logging in to your seller account and going to your Payments Report.Thank you for selling on Amazon.Amazon ServicesHelp us improve your experience on selling on Amazon through this brief survey:

Did this charge actually get charged to your credit card?

or

Is this just what was stated in an email to you? ... If this is the case, have you looked at the email header to make sure this email came from Amazon?

Greetings from Amazon Services.

This seems like an odd way for Amazon to start this type of email.

Check your credit card account to see if a transaction for $10 has actually occurred. We would be very careful about contacting this email if we could not log into the Amazon account that this is supposed to be about and if we could not verify it was from an Amazon email account.

It is possible that this email is a phishing attempt to get your info.

Go to your bank & get a chargeback.

Then report the Credit card as damaged. It will be replaced with new card with a different number, end date & CVV

Hello @Seller_0WfBmdJmpnl6g

Thanks for reaching out to Amazon Forums.

Given that your account has been inactive for over 5 years, I recommend closing your seller account to prevent any future charges. You can find information about the account closure process in the Seller Central help pages. Also feel free to contact Seller Support for additional guidance.
