Replacement FBM

So I'm a little confused on how this works...if the buyer buys an item and then requests a replacement they have to send back their original item...but lets say they keep both...will they then be charged for the replacement as well since they did not return anything? or is this some loophole to get buy 1 get 1 free?

Most important thing to note is that unless the buyer goes through the proper replacement request process -- the seller must not replace. The replacement will never have happened in the eyes of Amazon. Never start a replacement process based on buyer messaging.

If done properly, the seller gets a zero value order -- but this order should not show up until the buyer has started the return (the return label has been scanned as accepted)
