Brand Name Title Removal by Amazon
Hi all
Looking for someone within the Amazon US team to respond as any tickets just are met with a copy and paste answer.
This internal Amazon program of removing trademarked brand titles from the product pages is impacting a lot of sellers - especially new brands launching on Amazon. I know in our case for example - we're pumping the majority of our revenue back into ads and inventory as we're growing, but we're also not getting ANY brand recognition off of our advertising on Amazon as our products look unbranded/generic (since the title is changed on the product pages, it automatically removed the branding from sponsored ads as well).
I've been told that this is Amazon wide... but clearly it's not as it doesn't impact every brand. Just disadvantages at Amazon's discretion.
I've been told that it's for the benefit of putting more relevant information at the front of the title.... meaning that to Amazon our brand doesn't matter.
I've been told it's a brand registry issue by the seller team - to then have the brand registry team tell me it's a program that's ran by the seller team.
Basically it feels like we're all just getting the run around. One thing I do know as someone who has worked on brands doing hundreds of millions of dollars annually on Amazon, no major brand or best seller would EVER allow this. Looking for some help from an Amazon team member in the US as I'm tired of getting the recommended pasted responses from the CS teams in India.
