Re-Measure By Amazon's Laser Is Incorrect - We Have The Proof!
CS are no longer responding to our pleas for assistance in the case of an incorrect re-measurement. We were told that Amazon's measuring devices are 'far superior' to anything that we might be using. We used a pair of digital calipers, accurate to 0.001mm and provided photographic evidence. We even offered a video showing that the product slides through our calipers easily at the measurement we took but they are not interested in viewing it. I'll drop that image into comments below.
We measured maximum of 3.6mm thickness. Amazon's original measurement, which knocked all our prices out so that we were making a loss on each sale, was 7mm. When challenged, they brought it down to 5.1mm. We challenged them again and it became 5mm. This still was inaccurate but not surprisingly is just above what it needs to be for Amazon not to pay compensation for loss of profits!
We asked for evidence and the joke is, the tape measure 'proof' they sent actually shows that we are right and they are wrong. Not only does the tape show it's obviously less than 5mm, but as you can see, they've pushed the edge of the bag against the product AND tilted it to the right ... either side of where the tape is, is clearly much thinner.
We have several almost identical products (in size and weight) that are measuring correctly and being charged at the correct (lower) rate.
How do we get justice, please? If we can't get this sorted, we will have to pull our stock - it's our 2nd best seller 😭.
