Do you have at least £5 on that account available at ALL times?

Try updating it in your buyer account instead of your seller central. It’s been said before that this sometimes works.

As Shrewsbury M says - there must be at least £5 available funds on the card because Amazon actually debits your account before any transaction or funds disbursement, otherwise Amazon sees the card as “invalid”.

If you are updating the card - Rugsy’s suggestion does often work i.e. Use your buyer account to update.
