Amazon pricing is often twice as much as I have set it in Ingram – Why?

I am trying to understand how the pricing system works. We do PoD through Ingram and set our book prices through them. But Amazon often doubles the prices – I don't understand why the algorithm suggests such a large increase. Can somebody explain if there is a way to keep the Buy Box prices close to what we want to sell at?

I'm not hugely clear what the issue is. Are you saying Amazon are removing the buybox due to low prices?

Or are you setting the prices and then at some point Amazon increase them without you making the change? Or something else?
