Listing Issues with books
Just recently I am getting a message when trying to list books that states books in refurbished condition cannot be listed, sometimes same message for collectible books. I have been selling books on Amazon for 15 years, b ut suddenly cannot list used books anymore. Can someone explain.

Are you able to list any books at all?
If you apply on the restricted ones, what do you see?

I get these messages very occasionally, especially when a book in the Amazon catalogue has been listed under some other category. (And I have NEVER figured out what a "refurbished" book might possibly be!)
But if you are not able to list ANY used books, you have a serious problem. I managed to list several today without issue, but these were books that already had an Amazon listing, and in most cases an ISBN. Could you be more specific about what your process is and what you are seeing?
For nearly a year now, I have been unable to list any titles that are NOT already in the Amazon catalogue, after 20 years with a blanket GTIN exemption that let me create listings without difficulty using the "List an Item Not On Amazon" link. This link doesn't seem to exist any more.

I think Amazon has made a deal with some publishers to restrict sales of their titles on Amazon. That way people are more or less forced into buying a new copy. Keeps prices higher and makes more money for Amazon.
