Received empty return, whats best way to continue?
We received a royal mail tracked return on Friday that was an empty package, royal mail hasn’t confirmed delivery (it still says out for delivery) so the buyer hasn’t received any refund yet
what is the best way to proceed? issue a 1% refund in the returns section?
I don’t think I can open a safe-T claim yet?
thanks

ripped open so possibly damaged in transit ?
or quite obviously sent back with nothing in ?
If the latter, and theres no tracking, I’d be tempted to do nothing
If it was opened in transit - presumably RM put it in a damaged package bag and you’ll need to claim from them

I’ve had a similar issue in the past, it wasn’t empty but was short.
I didn’t argue with it and put down a small percentage refund.
The issue with doing nothing is that if it is auto authorised, the tracking can sometimes kick in on the scan and give an automatic full refund. If you put a partial in before this happend then it is logged as refunded. Just be sure to state the reasons and keep any evidence in case you get a dispute.

Hi everyone thanks for your responses
so Amazon out of nowhere just found in favour of the buyer and charged my account even though the item still says out for delivery, I sent an appeal explaining the tracking showed we hadn’t received the return but they seem to have rejected it and there are no options listed anymore
is the only way now to send an email to the MD address?
