Account level reserve outpacing sales

for some reason our account reserve has been out pacing our actual sales and we haven’t been paid out in two months. Our reviews and product health has been fine with no apparent issues or massive amount of returns. How do you solve this? Contacting support just gives us the generic reply about what reserve is but no actual support on the problem.

I have been in your position and I understand that the lack of specific data regarding the account reserve is frustrating and makes financial planning difficult.

First lemme say I love your product. Awesome STEM toys are in short supply IMO. I remember playing with the old school electrical circut toys as a youth and they laid a foundation of understanding for me.

Now to your issue. You are doing alot right. Your listing SEO, BSR, A+ content, using launchpad, you are doing it the right was and on your way to success.

But that brings an issue, sales velocity. One data field Amazon quantifies the account researve with is called sales velocity which is basically "how fast are your sales growing". If you have a great product thats growing then this can result in reserve outpacing sales as Amazon may preemtively hold some funds based on your sales trajectory.

Good news is that a "Velocity Review" is only 45 days. You will likely not know or be told you are under a "Velocity Review". Based on what you have told me and what I have seen, I beleive you are under a "Velocity Review".

Good news is that it is temporary. Its hard to say EXACTLY when it will end as they dont tell you exactly when it started. BUT you can expect ~ two months in total because we have to include the original 2 week delay for disbursement. 45 days plus 2 weeks is ~ two months depending on the calendar month.

This type of thing usually only happens when new brand or product launches or has a product has a popularity spike and Amazon needs to cover for potential costs like returns or refunds with a brand or product that doesnt have an extensive sales history.

More good news. Once you and your product move past the review and have an established fulfillment and review history you will likely become eligible for daily express payouts, we are.

Until then use whatever cash reserve, line of credit, credit card or business loan you can to bridge the gap

Hi there @Seller_RswpvGjc52w6d

My name is CR and wanted to hop in here. Welcome! I see that this is your very first post here on the forum and want to see if I can help to get you some additional information here.

@Seller_Qbd0RsfZFEZBYhas provided a some good guidance above as well. This is likely attributed to rapid sales where additional funds are needed in your account level reserves for things like refunds, claims, or chargebacks.
