Fradulant IP Complaint from Voohries Law Firm?

I have been selling on Amazon for over a year now and my products and ratings are 5 stars. I have received an IP complaint and the email was from Amazon stating that there is an IP complaint against the listing and it was removed (counterfeit without a test buy). Keep in mind this listing has been around for years, and I sell other products under this brand, however only one specific product was affected.

The email provided the name of the paralegal, email, phone number, as well as the legal firm name Voohries Law Firm. When I attempted to reach out via email and phone number, it was dead and obviously fake. I managed to find the real law firm and when I called them they said they didn't file anything and the person I mentioned does not work with them.

I have attempted to submit invoices, letter of authorization, and images of the product as our distributor sources it from multiple manufacturers. I did not get anywhere with Amazon Account Health. If someone is impersonating or using fake information to report an IP, and Amazon does not assist you, what am I supposed to do from here?

Thank you for reading

How about that. Ant to think Amazon says it checks out all referals-Complaints Prior to stopping you selling the product.

Here is our story to add to Amazon dysfunctionality.

We own retail stores and have many accounts with manufacturers and most of our accounts have a company Rep that handles our account. Well, when talking to our Reps, they knew nothing of the claim or the person who's name was on the Amazon email. So, just like you, we looked deeper into the name Amazon supplied as the contact person. In both cases, this is again what we found.

Looking up each name and business on line, we found a one page add for their "so called" law firm. Their specialty is resolving infringement claims at Amazon. So, we contacted them. For $1000 sent by money order or Western Union, they will provide what Amazon needs, and for an additional $500 they will fix everything with the manufacturer.

When I asked if they needed my company account number and company Reps

name, they said no, they have it on file. So I asked them to tell it to me, After all it was right in front of them and they said they would AFTER I paid the Correction fees. They asked what item this was in reference to, and I gave them a WRONG ASIN number, and they had it right there. It is a scan for sure. Then I said my company Rep looked into this situation and said it was falsely made, you said you have his name, right? He hung up the phone.

Now, things get worse. I send all my documentation to Amazon for the product involved. and Amazon responds, that is not good enough, the retraction has to come from the Law Firm who made the claim, Which, of course, is the ACTUAL SCAMMER.

As I've said for the past year, infringement claims are out of control on Amazon.

In partnership with seller support and account health support, we could identify that you'll need to provide valid invoices containing the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days.

Please check if your invoices are matching the following requirements:

Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured

These documents:

  1. Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
  2. Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
  3. Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents

Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.

You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.

Please visit the page Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements for more information.

The forums community and I are committed to assisting you. Feel free to share how we can support you moving forward.

Wish you all the best,

Nikki
