THIS IS UTTER CHAOS. The tax interview problems are unsolvable, apparently.

I'm at my wit's end. I've tried to get someone - anyone - from amazon that's not an AI bot to actually help, to no avail. Every discussion board topic to do with the tax interview EIN upload problem is locked, with no resolution found on any of them. I've been trying for 3 weeks to get my company EIN number to be accepted - I've confirmed all the data with the IRS - and it refuses to be accepted in the Amazon system. But the really disgusting part of all this is how unhelpful Amazon tax team support is. I won't go into the details, but suffice to say it's been pure AI bot chaos. BTW, my case number is 15574975151. Let's wager this - I'll bet you a dollar that an Amazon bot, if I get any reply at all, will tell me to "double check the EIN paperwork blah blah blah, enter it correctly in the blah blah blah, and check the forums and FAQ for more answers. Thanks for using Amazon, we're marking this case as closed." If that's NOT the answer I get, and instead I get an actual human who fixes my problem, I'll pay every Amazon user a dollar. JK. I'll just be very, very surprised. So Amazon, care to actually provide a real, working fix for uploading my EIN?

So here's what I just did. Had a chat with an actual person (I think - we had some humorous interactions, so it probably was a real dude) that led to the standard "check the forums, and talk to a tax professional" BS. My company is a multi-member LLC taxed as a partnership with an EIN, and that is what I was entering on the tax interview, which failed to validate every time (and yes I did countless variations of "full name", "business name", etc). This time, I lied - I said I was a sole proprietor/disregarded entity, and used my SSN...and it worked! So, come tax time, I'll have to figure it out with my accountant, but SCREW YOU AMAZON, YOU CAN'T HOLD ME BACK!!! haha ok so there's your fix folks, I'm out.
