You need to update your payment method

I just received an email asking me to update my credit card but it still shows as valid on my account.
Looks genuine, although the ‘Hello’ at the start instead of my name or username looks suspicious, and it shows a link to Netherlands Amazon.

Anyone else received this?

To reactivate your selling account, verify your account and update your credit card information in Seller Central.

To update your credit card information, on the “Account Info” page, go to “Payment Information”, select “Charge Methods”, and add your credit card details.

That seems odd! Do you sell on Amazon Netherlands? Check the sender’s email address to see if it’s genuine. Also, check your payment method on your account, maybe your payment card has expired or you had the old card replaced so now you need to update the payment info on Amazon.

Is your UK account stll active?

I had an email a couple of weeks ago that began:

Dear Selling Partner,
…your payment method on file is invalid. Funds will not be transferred to you until you provide a valid charge method.

It was genuine. It was because my current card was invalid even though it had a month to run. I had just received a new card and hadn’t got around to changing it on Amazon.

While I have successfully assigned my new card to the UK marketplace, my old card is still ‘assigned’ to other European marketplaces and I haven’t so far attempted to assign the new card to them. I don’t currently sell on any of them and they are on permanent holiday.

I’m sort of expecting an email similar to the one you received.

Could any of that apply to you?
