Do I Need Certifications or Paperwork to Start Selling Disposable Cutlery on Amazon USA?

Hello everyone,

I’m planning to start selling disposable cutlery made from cornstarch on Amazon USA, and I’m based in Canada. Before I begin, I want to ensure I comply with any regulations. Are there specific certifications or paperwork required for selling eco-friendly disposable cutlery in the U.S.? For example, do I need FDA approval or any material safety certifications?

Additionally, is there a resource or website where I can check if my product needs certification? If yes, where can I find that information?

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I don't deal in anything remotely like that, but since it will be used with FOOD, I would start with the Food and Drug Administration.

Honestly, you better have several million in liability insurance before you even think about selling that type of item.
