Anyone else having problems changing category recently?
It seems my category ‘suggestions’ are being rejected on a regular basis and are then being ‘escalated’ and left for weeks before anything is done. It makes absolutely no sense why they are being rejected initially, for example, I have a camera product in the torches category. Anyone else having a tough time with this?

Yes, all normal on Planet Amazon. We had a new confectionery listing that robot initially decided was a self tanning product. We eventually got that sorted, but ever since the product has had no sales ranking, because it isnt eligible for the browse node it is listed under. When we contact robot to explain, we’re told thats because it isn’t elgible for the browse node it is listed under, and we’re likes yes, but you put it there, and we can’t edit that because the edit doesn’t work. It’s a sku that is made exclusively for us, but unfortunately, we dont own the brand. So, we too are back riding the 360 degree wheel of torture…

It’s definitely not easy money. Anyone who asks us about it / how bad it is, we just say there’s no point answering that because you wouldn’t believe what we tell you. We’ve just made sure as a business, we’d be fine without it. Saying that, it has come after robot decided to divide our turnover by 10 since 2020, which is quite an achievement.
