Account Inactive, Add New Card.
Got the following message on my account.
You have attempted to access a store that is currently inactive. To reactivate your store, you may be required to add a new credit card and verify your identity. Please be advised that it may take a few minutes for your store to be reactivated.
When I click on the Verification button I get asked whether I'd like to activate my account in Spain, France, Germany or Italy. I don't want to sell, or have an account in any of these marketplaces, just UK, however that isn't an option, and my UK account is inactive.
I haven't actively sold here for over a year due to being unable to find a tax document Amazon will accept, so I gave up. I know I can phone HMRC for a letter but am always on hold for the best part of an hour, so I gave up on that one too.
Ideally I would like to downgrade my account from Professional to Individual. I am currently registered for Handmade so at the moment I do not pay the monthly fee, however I am unable to access my account to downgrade should this situation change. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

apart from anything else all handmade accounts must be the professional one. You MUST also be a Business account and provide a Confirmation of UTR letter/ no exceptions

Exactly the same for me, only became apparent when I’d sold something, which is once in a blue moon as I’m not a business. And now I can’t access to get an address or confirm shipping, all url links lead to the ‘inactive account’ page. Tried adding the same bank details/card but get message that it can’t be verified.
