Holiday Return Window a Moving Target Now?

So, I just looked at our returns and I have one out there from October that they haven't let drop off yet.

I looked up the Holiday Return Winndow and it states it started November 1rst. Why is this return ordered In October with the approved for sending back in early November (now past 30 days) still open?

Is this a never ending return window??

The holiday extended return window means that anything purchased after Nov 1 can have the return process started as late as Jan 31 (at least, I think that's the date).

What you are facing is different; once a return is opened, a customer has a time period to ship it back; this has been stated in the past as 45 days, but also as being only 30 days. As for it dropping off your notifications, I've seen them stick around for well past that time window.

Just ignore it. Whatever you do, don't prompt the buyer; you WANT them to forget about it. It will eventually drop off, although no one can predict when.

Amazon allows 30 days for a return after the return request is made. When it hits 31 days, I go in and manually mark it as 'COMPLETE' and close it for "item Not Returned". Never had an issue with doing it this way before...Almost 1/2 or more of the return requests will eventually hit the 30-day window. Paul.
