How to Automate invoice for Non-VAT

Hi There,

We want to save some time and wanted to make VAT invoices by the Amazon system automatically. However, we don’t have the VAT number (earn enough to pay VAT). We try to do it but required the VAT number to proceed further so how we can operate it in this specific procedure without a VAT number. Anybody here is using this function?

Please help us, thank you so much!

If your turnover exceeds £85k in any 12 month period, or you are resident outside of the UK but storing stock here, then you MUST be registered for VAT. Registering and getting your VAT number should be the more pressing concern.

(Unless that was a typo and you meant you DON’T earn enough to pay VAT?)

You can click the link below and Amazon will automatically upload a receipt for you.

Sellers exempt from VAT registration in both the EU and the UK can declare their VAT exemption status and benefit from automated receipt generation.

This will only work for future sales - you will need to create a receipt for any current orders using your usual method

If you are not VAT registered then you do not provide VAT invoices, just receipts. It is only mandatory to upload invoices/receipts for sales marked as Business Customer, or if buyer requests - not all sales.

As above post, click above link to declare your exempt status - but ONLY if you are behold the threshold for VAT, or live outside UK but store stock here, then you must be VAT registered.
