Light at the end of the tunnel
Last few days delivery dates have been show as after Xmas.
Prefer it not to be, but do except in the current climate it is what it is.
Just had a sale come through, North London - 140 miles away and show del dates of 22-24 Dec.
Does this suggest there is light at the end of the tunnel and the huge back-logs are starting to clear?
Fingers crossed.

Who are you shipping with? Amazon aren’t really adjusting the delivery dates effectively (or at all) they are mostly leaving it up to sellers.
If you are relying on RM to deliver those dates could be sticky, given that the 23rd and 24 are strike days.

I think there’s a bigger picture to be seen here. We shut down on the 12th and today we’ve shut down on the auction place despite them showing our delivery dates as the 28th December to 3rd January… think about this logically… Today is the 18th December so if a customer places an order today it will be posted tomorrow, 19th December, that means it has 2 days of processing (the Tuesday and the Wednesday) before it has to be at the delivery depot by like 3am on Thursday morning to have a chance of being delivered before Xmas as no post on the 23rd or 24th… considering I only just got an item posted on the 28th November yesterday and it had a scan at the sending depot on the 30th November it’s taken 17 days to go a few hundred miles… Getting back to the estimate of the 28th Dec to 3rd January… that sounds fantastic because the 3rd January is really far away, however, Royal Mail are only actually operating for 7 of them days the rest is either Strike days or 5 bank holidays… From the 23rd December to the 28th December nothing is going to be moving due to a row of 2 strike days followed by 3 bank holiday days… then you’re going to have all the Boxing Day and New Year sale post added on top and I think a lot of people will just assume oh Christmas has gone past and the matter has resolved it self…

I don’t think there is light at the end of the tunnel.
I received Christmas Cards yesterday which I know were posted first class on the 5th December. They took almost 2 weeks to arrive.
With the post I am receiving it looks mostly like a 2 week delay still on standard 1st/2nd Class postage. Tracked looks quicker as I had tracked returns from Amazon which took less than a week.
I still think there are massive delays which is why I am not posting anything else via RM until the new year. I don’t see them clearing the backlogs before Christmas and I think it will take until at least New Year for them to clear.

Nope. No light, only darkness.
Batteries are dead in the Royal Mail torch, replacements were ordered late November but apparently

Delivery won’t be made on 23rd, or 24th as Royal Mail are on strike.
So guessing Amazon have made a mistake here and I hope your customer is not expecting delivery on Thursday of an item you are likely to post on Monday.

I only started this thread to point out the adjusted expected delivery date. Things in time will clear and the closer we get to Xmas I have often found deliveries get quicker as back-logs clear.
Many sellers on here have pointed out they have switched sales off. Waterstones told people to stop buying online. Many say sales have been awful. All this will in time make clearing back-logs easier.
If you want to carry on pointing fingers and telling folk what to do - carry on.
I was just hoping there was some positive news on the way - apologies for doing so.

When I go to my orders that need to be sent out tomorrow/Tuesday it says deliver by 21 Dec 2022 to 23 Dec 2022, but when I go to item page it says Arrives after Christmas December 28 - 30 ?

So far all of our A-Z’s we’ve had over turned on appeal. Just put delayed due to Royal Mail strikes please remove as per Amazon policy. 2 they actually refunded out of their pocket and the newest one they removed the metric but we foot the bill.

Not sure, but why some people spend all day on here doing amazon’s job for them is unbelievable. Fair play but so busy with stuff I wish I had the time!! I can’t understand it but admire them who help folk. Good luck and all the best to everyone and have a great Xmas and New Year

Last Wednesday Amazon showing delivery date of the 23rd and 24th December…
Fast forward to Sunday and the expected delivery date is still showing 23rd and 24th December ?
I am closing my store here and leaving my eBay open as they are at least warning customers that your order may arrive after Xmas…
