A-Z Granted - Appeal Rejected

Looking for some advice with the following.

Buyer returns items, Amazon issues a pre-paid return label and refunds the buyer on first scan.

Buyer opens an A-Z due to not receiving the full refund amount (I believe Amazon deducted the return postage cost from the buyer) and it's granted in favour of the buyer.

We have sent an appeal but it was rejected as "Because you did not refund the order within two business days, the claim amount has been debited from your seller account."

Not sure what we have done wrong here as the return and refund was handled by Amazon, does anyone have any advice.
