About the 5461 error code.
Hello, I am the authorized seller of the Y brand, which is owned by the X company, on Amazon. X company has used one of the GS1 barcodes it purchased for the Y brand product, which it owns and I intend to sell. The relevant barcode has also been printed on the product box.
When I try to list this product on Amazon, I receive error code 5461. The error code explanation states that this GS1 barcode belongs to the X company and that I cannot list the product. Amazon considers the company's name as the brand. I have been opening numerous cases for weeks, trying to explain that the company's name is different from the brand name it owns. However, I have made no progress.
A company used a GS1 barcode it purchased for a brand it owns, which has a different name than the company; it’s that simple. Despite this being something a 10-year-old child could easily understand, I have been unable to convey this to Amazon representatives for weeks. It’s truly very frustrating.
