Children's Jewelry

I'm noticing a lot of sellers recently submitting posts about their adult jewelry being classified as children's jewelry, and I'm experiencing the same issues. None of my items are for children, however if it contains a single word like "girl" or "baby" then it automatically gets flagged. Appeals are useless as they are simply auto-rejected and no one actually reads it. I have a large pendant of baby Jesus, and that is being flagged as children's jewelry. I have a pendant where a mother can engrave their kids' name(s) on it, and that is getting flagged - despite it being clearly marketed towards mothers. Its gotten to the point where we just stopped selling certain items on Amazon completely and just sell those on other marketplaces, but I don't want to simply remove nearly all my high performing items simply because of an overzealous Amazon bot.

We are doing the appeals, talking to seller support, trying to explain the situation, but still all our appeals simply get rejected. Is there any hope this can be fixed before the holiday selling season begins?? @Roxy_Amazon @Rose_Amazon @Manny_Amazon

And if any Amazon member sees this, these are the latest case IDs that are currently open:

I've had 5 of these in the last few days. I appealed all of them and 4 were accepted and one rejected.

The rejected item is adult sized and all of the product images show adults wearing the product, so no sure why the appeal was rejected.

@Seller_xbdh3k72vSdt4 We are having the same issue. I've had about 75+ listings removed and have to fight tooth and nail to get them restored. Some will get reinstated but the same exact item (just a different color) will be denied over and over. Why??? I don't know how to describe some of our items because it's gotten so ridiculous. Like you said, items where you can engrave kid's names - how are you supposed to describe what it is your are selling: "Engraved charm with non-adults names" "Large Pendant of Jesus when he was not an adult" LOL

Good Evening @Seller_xbdh3k72vSdt4, @Seller_aNryBfYO3DTmL, @Seller_M8DB4ikDs2U5w,

While you are stating that your items are intended for adults, such as a jewelry item that is for cosplay, a granddaughter, a cute butterfly etc, if it can also be worn on a child under the age of 12, Amazon will require testing be done on your products. This is to ensure the safety of your end customers, which could be children. If your items could be worn by a child, you would have to have the required tested as stated in our help page here.

If you have tried to appeal with with the appropriate team already and still have further questions, I'd be happy to look into the CASE ID you filed with Selling Partner Support where you appealed the jewelry compliance document submission.

My colleague @Manny_Amazon wrote a great article regarding Children's Jewelry compliance -->HERE<--

I also wrote a post about best practices when submitting compliance documentation (or appealing) -->HERE<-- you should check out.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the information I have shared above and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon

P.S. @Seller_xbdh3k72vSdt4 - I looked at all of your cases listed above and they appear to be false positives. Thank you for taking the time to appeal.
