A return request with flase claim of late delivery

One of my clients opened a return request with the claim that the item was delivered late, he also noted "it takes too long to do something similar to another web". The estimated delivery date is - Tue, Sep 3, 2024 PDT to Tue, Sep 24, 2024 PDT and I sent Amazon evidence that the item was delivered on the August 27, 2024, 12:37 pm. So it is even before the delivery date frame. For me to provide a label will cost more than refund him, but if I refund him I will not be eligible to fill a claim. I asked help from Amazon, but the customer service didn't know much and didn't help. I asked him what would have happened if I had not provided a label. when amazon will process a refund on my behalf? or if the client can open A-Z claim in such case .

Sorry your dealing with this, I would refund them and eat the cost in this case since providing a label will put you negative on the sale, it's not worth an ODR ding to your account if they open an A to Z claim. Amazon will not refund them on your behalf, buyers can open a return for any reason (that reason can be true or false). You must always provide them with a label.

Support won't be of any help as they won't understand the issue.

Have you messaged the buyer, not your client, the tracking information? It's a catch 22, they can open a claim if you do not refund them in a timely manner.
