SFP and DPD onboarding

Recently signed up to SFP and chose DPD as the courier. Was told I was on-boarded with DPD and all would be fine!

The first Prime order came through and i bought shipping via Amazon with DPD as it was the only option in Buy Shipping.

DPD never turned up to collect the parcel. I ended up cancelling it and buying Tracked 24 via my own C&D account It was delivered on time with them.

I assumed that it was just a problem with on-boarding not quite being ready as DPD had no record of the parcel when i contacted them.

Does anyone know how long DPD on-boarding takes as Amazon help desk is pretty much useless when i query them and DPD had no record of me being set up with them.

Not sure where to go with this now.

I would advise you to e-mail them at amazon@dpd.co.uk, which is the Amazon contact address for any queries regarding DPD issues.

If you already have a C&D account, why didn’t you choose Royal Mail as your carrier? Onboarding process is easy and straightforward, any issues you may face with Buy Shipping are easily overcome by falling back onto your C&D account. You now also have to be wary about going over the 2% threshold of shipping bought outside of Amazon.

Amazon offered us DPD when Royal Mail was down and DPD was the only one available, knowing we didn’t have any kind of account with DPD we didn’t ship with them. However we still got the option which I think is pretty wrong considering its kind of setting us up to fail knowing we aren’t on board with DPD.
