Selling with Amazon is my worst nightmare, I need a shrink after this

The worst time I have ever had in my life was selling on Amazon. I don't even want to talk about what I went through because it would be a book. Can't even remember how many times I've had mental breakdowns dealing with their processes, 'support', and s***. I have decided to quit and will never return. I would rather work in a sweatshop than sell on Amazon again.

I am crying now, can't even imagine I would be destroyed like this

Sadly, you probably didn't bother reading anything on the Forum about exactly the issue(s) you describe.

It's a hot mess and sinking into the abyss rapidly. Their BOTS are incompetent and the real people don't have enough experience in enough areas to be a lot of help.

Good luck with the shrink(s).....................

THIS IS WHAT I SUGGEST.

Once you close your seller account(there are sellers w/ more than one account but, supposedly, they've been approved to sell other merchandise than does their original account) you can't change your mind and return. .

If you are a PRO-SELLER, change to individual so you aren't charged a monthly fee.

Put your account on VACATION until you calm somewhat. If this takes a year or so, be aware that you probably will have to go through a reverification process. You should also glance at the account occasionally to make certain nobody has hacked/taken it over.

We've been here 11 years and admittedly the first year and the last have been the worst. The first because, despite loads of customer service experience, my book-selling experience was neolithic and was forced to relearn skills such as pricing/packaging. The last year, as BOTS have taken over the platform(and it will only become worse as TPTB lay off human workers), speaks for itself!

Good luck with your decision!

Few things to consider:

-Nobody will cry after you, especially at Amazon.

-Most sellers went through nightmares and sleepless nights but many of them made it work, with a lot of focused effort and insistence.

-Do not close your account, leave it dormant. Maybe after a pause and re-evaluation, you will reconsider.

-Use the pause to focus on your own website or sales channels and read Amazon rules.

Experienced sellers know that we need to figure cost of a shrink into the product price. It just comes with selling on Amazon.

We sellers are not going to die from Covid but with a heart attack, I never had any blood pressure all my life, the last 3 years it has gone high because of the madness we see every SINGLE day, my doctor says I have to bring down stress, if I tell him read the forums, he will have a heart attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it really is that bad I concur. My phone call with the executive team yesterday was epic. I pinpoint 7 survey questions that contradict their values in regards to the reimbursement policy. She says the same thing over and over, is way off-subject and says it's mutually beneficial. That's when I'm like this company is straight poo. The seller takes the hit for amazon mistakes every step of the way. I have slightly high blood pressure too....I wonder why

Been selling on Amazon for many, many years myself. I've experienced the same thing you are describing myself. It never gets better, only WORSE! Finally decided to close our account. It takes 90 days to do it after the last order. I'd advise you to do the same. It ain't worth it, believe me! Amazon doesn't care about third part sellers and they WILL stick it to you every chance they get!
