Amazon keeps rejecting my UTR document.

hello there sellers I need some help regarding 'identity verification' process.

Recently amazon has asked me to provide them with new documents, however I can't wrap my head around why it keeps getting rejected.

I have requested a new document from the HMRC application and so it's up to date.

It has my name etc on the document and also the UTR number displayed clearly.

The photo has been taken clearly of the full paper, however, I'm disappointed in this system as I have a large payout on hold which I really need to aquire.

Did anyone else experience this issue and if so, what can be done to get this approved as soon as possible?

Ive a feeling that Amazon do not accept a photo of this document but only a PDF. I know months ago Amazon wanted verification of certain documents to prove UK establishment and this was one of the issues at the time.

I know at that time my VAT Certificate kept being rejected by Amazon and it took me ages to figure out why. Amazon were looking for some information in the footer of the document This is what I did in the end and perhaps it will work for you?

Sign into Government Gateway at HMRC

Scroll down to VAT section

Select 'View VAT Certificate'

Click the 'Print Certificate' button

Open up 'More settings'

Change the 'Margins' option to 'Default'

Now you will see an option to include 'Headers and Footers' - make sure this is checked and click 'Save'

If you need a PDF take the picture using documents on you phone. Upload the picture to a laptop and then go to print the picture. Before you print if you click the "destination" dropdown the option of "save as PDF" is on there. Use that instead of the printer option and then press save. A PDF file will then be in your download. Sorry if you know this already but posted just in case you did not. Good luck!

PDF only and has to be the paper format from HMRC, crazy that you can get mortgage with digital yet not sell on Amazon without paper versions after the big paperless push.
