how to apply for FBA reimbursement

Hello everyone, FBA issued a refund for an order from 5/3/2023 today. I'm not sure of the reason, but this is far beyond the return window. How should I go about applying for FBA reimbursement?

Our account is set up to receive emails when Amazon refunds an order. There's a reason in the email.

Then based on that information you open a case and ask for a refund reimbursement because the refund was given by Amazon outside the refund window (30 days from delivery).

FBA Customer Returns report (overview)

You can learn more about that return using the information in the above link.

FBA customer returns policy

In most cases, customers can request to return an item within 30 days of receiving it. Amazon may make case-by-case exceptions and accept return requests beyond 30 days of receipt.

When Amazon refunds a customer for your FBA order, we debit your seller account for all or part of the refund value.

A return is an item a customer sends back to a fulfillment center. Amazon evaluates the condition of each returned item. If Amazon determines that the item is sellable, we return it to your inventory. If Amazon determines that it is unsellable (defective or damaged, for example), Amazon assesses who caused the damage. Then Amazon decides if you are eligible for a reimbursement.
