VAT Number
Hi,
I set up my Amazon seller account months ago - i have a UK VAT number as per the amazon rules, however Amazon keep rejecting this saying it is not a valid number.
I got confirmation from the HMRC an have filed nil returns as i am blocked on selling.
I dont know if the issue is because i have an Irish Company address and no UK address - if it is this how do i resolve as my stock is just sitting in amazons warehouse and i am getting charged fees

Have you entered it as GBnnnnnnnnn (GB + 9 numbers)?
There is a VAT number check on the .gov.uk website search for check-vat-number on your favourite search engine, so you can make sure it is up and working.
