Account Deactivated due to incorrect country of origin

Amazon has deactivated my account due to submission of wrong county of origin while registering my account. I still haven't started selling yet but I have provided the information of my registered business in that account. But now amazon is asking me to open up a brand new account with new email and correct country of origin that matches my passport. If I open up a new account with my details as amazon said, will I be able to run that account properly ? Moreover, I have a registered business. Will I be able to same business details into the new account ? because it is amazon, they are asking me open up a new account.

" because it is amazon, they are asking me open up a new account. "

PLEASE open a support case BEFORE you do anything like that. There have been multiple posts by sellers that have been suspended for taking that advice.

Be sure to include the names of anyone suggesting that in the case and ask if that is the correct way to do things.

Since you are allowed ONE account on Amazon (unless selling different items in different categories) following that advice sounds extremely dangerous.

Once you have a case number come back here and some of us looking can tag some MODS for you.

Without a case number in the posts it wastes time for everyone. I no longer tag anyone if there is no case #.

They have to ask for it and then wait for a reply from the poster and then the poster has to wait again for the MOD to find the case, and then more waiting.………….…

BUT, it’s a weekend and all the MODS are off partying 😁😁 so it may be early next week before you hear back! Actually, they are short staffed (on purpose) on weekends because Amazon doesn’t think anything bad happens then!

@Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp has provided some great advice! First of all, DO NOT create a new account. You must correctly fix this account first.

It is true, I will need a performance notification or case ID to give you specific information. I also have a couple of questions for you -

  1. Have you created a case with Account Health Support, if so, what did they say?
  2. Do you have a case ID? Please provide that.
  3. Do you have a physical address you are attempting to verify?

Because you mention "wrong country of origin" this sounds like it could be related to the Inform Consumer Act. Is this the case? When verifying documents, the information you have in your Seller Central needs to match the documents you submit for verification. When there is a conflict, if it is not resolved within a specific time frame, your account can be suspended until this is resolved.

I look forward to your response. Thank you for reaching out on the forums.
