Incorrect FBA Long-Term Storage Fee of $17,832
FBA Long-term storage fee is being charged with -$17,832 out of nowhere, supposedly for the storage from March 15 to the present. This seems completely absurd considering we have very little inventory in storage to make this outrageous number make any sense.
I checked my previous Long-Term Storage Fee (LTSF) reports from past months, and every month, the storage volume remained the same. However, in the most recent month's report, I noticed a huge difference in storage volume and charges, but only for one particular product and its variations, while the remaining products have the same data as before.
Until last month, the storage volume area for every product was consistent, and the charges were minimal. The total inventory volume was 110.12 cubic feet, and the Aged Inventory Surcharge was $103.23. However, in the most recent month, the total inventory volume suddenly increased to 11,832.64 cubic feet, and the Aged Inventory Surcharge skyrocketed to $ 17,832 , which is an unreasonably huge jump
I have tried to contact the right department to help me with this problem, and there does not seem to be anyone qualified to assist us—just someone reading back to us the storage fees and directing us to the help box on the account page. That is all we have been able to accomplish since this issue arose, so basically nothing.
Has this happened to anyone ? was anyone able to solve this problem or find professional help? Because this matter is extremely urgent and requires immediate resolution because on the 29th, this amount will be debited from my account.

My issue is still unresolved, and now my account access has been removed due to a negative balance. I’m extremely concerned and frustrated.
I have one simple question: if the charges being applied are accurate, why am I facing this issue now? If Amazon’s calculations were correct, these charges should have been reflected over the past 6–7 months. Instead, I was suddenly charged $17,741 without any prior indication.
Despite raising multiple cases (5–6 at least), I have not received any proper resolution or the proof I requested. It seems the only focus is on collecting this amount—without any clear explanation or transparency.
This situation is very frustrating. I am losing hope, and it’s severely affecting my business.
I request someone from the Amazon team to kindly look into this urgently. Please help, or at least escalate this issue to someone who can provide a proper resolution.
@AmazonSupport — please take this seriously and assist.

You need to add a case number so a mod might help.

I will never to FBA. I have my own warehouse and I'm perfectly happy beating Amazon's delivery times by one day shipping (albeit they say fewer) items myself. (FBM)

The mods in these forums can only help if:
1 - you tag them.
2 - you provide case numbers. You have to provide the case number in order for them to escalate the issue.
It sounds to me like one of your items got remeasured (Amazon does this periodically) and it came back with an incorrect value. What you needed to do was file a remeasurement request so they can go in and fix it. If they come back and find they had the wrong measurement, they will reimburse you the overcharge. You can file remeasurements requests automatically by typing "remeasure" into the search bar, but without access to your account...
Amazon sends emails whenever you submit a case. I would suggest finding that email and copying the case ID from it and adding it into the discussion. You can also browse through some other forums to find where members have tagged Amazon mods. Copy those tags and add them to this discussion. Make sure they are hyperlinked, otherwise they won't see them.
For example, @Danny_Amazon are you able to help with this?

I'd be happy to jump in here and assist. Can you please provide the most recent case ID with Seller Support so we can look at all the details regarding this issue?
Typically if your inventory in Amazon's fulfillment centers (not including open shipments) exceeds your capacity limit, you will be charged an inventory storage overage fee in addition to monthly inventory storage fees and, if applicable, an aged inventory surcharge.
If this is a sudden change and is targeted to only one item, there is a chance the ASIN dimensions/measurements have recently changed. As @Seller_gVgGkYf88ifhQpointed out in his reply, if your product was incorrectly remeasured and resulted in unwarranted fees, you can submit a request for FBA fees reimbursement policy: Weight and dimensions.
Please feel free to reply to this thread with the case ID when you have it, that way we can look into the specifics of your situation.

Do not use FBA. Its a nightmare. Just FBM.

The product dimensions or weight sound like it was changed to cause such a discrepency

Sounds like Amazon gave you all our products that they misplaced..... What a nightmare on your end now.
