Seller Support Makes Selling on Amazon Impossible

First of all, stop closing my threads @Emet_Amazon They are completely different questions you continue not answering. . I won’t even mention what the original question is so you can’t tell me to keep it on the first thread. This thread is about the poor seller support us sellers continuously get on Amazon. The chats get you nowhere. The departments that are supposed to follow up in 24 hours do not. Instead of helping, we are all getting the run around. Is there a way to escalate to another department? You won’t help me on chat, calls, forums—nothing. And stop telling me not to worry—I am worried.

The same issues consistently happening at no fault of my own and there is no recourse for the seller. Despite me completing hundreds of orders, paying continuously raised fees, and putting up with the most difficult seller support system I have ever dealt with. What can we do? If the answer is actually nothing, then tell me that and stop making me waste my time. If I have to wait another 60 days for my store to go back to normal, it is not worth it to have a store open on this platform.

I think the standard procedure is to reject the first request for anything. Then you have to reopen the case and if you are lucky you can get it resolved but more than likely it is standard to close that case as well.

It really seems you have to reopen 3 or more times to finally get some ability to have your issue resolved.

Amazon incorrectly removed my listing. I opened more than 3 cases to explain that my product should not be restricted again and again...Well, they win, because they always replied to me with the same answer "we carefully checked your case...", though the associates have different names...

I have the same experience with Seller Support. My call request feature just won't work for my phone. It simply ends immediately.

I also get the runaround for issues. I have had a case open for nearly a month now about a UPC problem and no matter how many documents I provide I just get the same, canned responses from a different person every time. There is absolutely ZERO desire or sense of urgency to get your problem resolved. The only time I do is if I'm lucky enough to get a support agent who actually tries to understand the problem. Complete luck of the draw.

I do not even bother trying to get support unless I absolutely have to. If there is an issue with a product, I just remove it from Amazon and don't even bother. It is a waste of time. Any product that requires a modicum of user understanding of it is a bad item to sell on Amazon. If it is not absolutely fool proof, then sell it on other platforms that have better policies for sellers and that do not support buyer abuse of sellers. I sell far less items than I did in the past, but I make more profit.

Seller Support is NOT existent on Amazon and as you can see the mods are here only to placate you into thinking they have authority to do anything.

Mods are Amazon employees and must follow the same marching orders as their fellow Amazon employees in other countries that have NO BUSINESS handling any matters that relate to United States 3P sellers.

The only way problems will get resolved is if Congress outlaws forced arbitration clauses and allows us (as eBay does) to bring matters into our own Small Claims Courts to resolve them. BTW - eBay almost never has a Small Claims Court case which is an alternative to arbitration (which eBay will pay the costs and filing fees for unlike Amazon) since they have instituted real live United States based seller support).

This is so true. In this forum all they do is parrot what another seller replied to someone's question. That seller already gave them the help and answer they needed and then a mod chimes in with "So and So gave you the right advice, blah, blah, blah". It's quite amusing. And then when it's a subject they don't want to deal with or have it brought to light, they close the thread. So annoying. But they know they're being useless. They know what they're doing....or, in this case, not doing.

Wish I was shocked I have gotten 0 reply from Amazon Support. It looks like thumbs up from 34 people (and counting) plus the 11 replies means this is a broader issue. Can I get any help from Amazon?

I believe the current seller support is not untrained staff anymore (which was terrible), I believe they are now using AI agents. The responses are quicker (copy and pasted) and worse. It must be robots.

"Seller Support" is a cruel joke. Amazon should realize that if it helps us sellers, it will gain more sales and make more money for itself.
