Going LTD and VAT registered
HI, need some advice please. In the process of becoming a limited company with VAT registration. I am switching my account from sole trader. I want the switch over on amazon to be as smooth as possible. I have read of many problems as regards to the correct paperwork being supplied. Can you please tell me what I need to have at hand when changing my details and any pitfalls to avoid.
Thank you

You need to have all your details entered on Company House ready to send as soon as you tell Amazon. Also get your Vat registration done and entered on the Vies database and your letter with your company UTR to hand. Also a bank statement in your company name and active with some transactions on it.

As above:
Company registration document, VAT registation certificate, company UTR document.
Certified ltd company bank statement. Be careful with who you choose to open an account with ensuring they hold a full UK banking licence. You may have difficulty with some challenger banks such as Tide or Resolut which are money services rather than banks. All high street banks, Starling and I believe Monzo all have full UK banking licences. (I use Starling and can instantly download a certified statement which is a plus over the high street banks who can make that difficult).
You may also be asked for ID and proof of address (utility bills) for all directors.
