"Other" adjustment. Amazon Seller support just won't tell me why I was charged!
I have an "Other" charge on my account. It is not a large amount, but it has absolutely no details about the charge besides it is other.
I contacted amazon for info, and they over the course of two weeks emailed me over a dozen times, approx once a day, to tell me they are looking into it.
Finally, after two weeks and a dozen emails, they say the charge is a "MFN UPS Shipping correction charge" for package weight or dimension discrepancy when shipping.
I proceed to tell seller support that I only ship with USPS. and asked them to please let me know which order and tracking number had the discrepancy. They said they meant to say it was USPS not UPS in the first email and that they cannot tell me any other info...
Really? They can't tell me which order I was sent that this charge is for?
"Further, we are unable to specify the order ID as this charge has been deducted from our back-end, and for this reason, the details related to this is not visible in your account"
I have asked multiple times for escalation or the order number and they keep telling me they can not provide it.
I don't know what order this was charged for, I don't know what the dimensions were, I have no info besides I was charged a fee with minimal explanation.

I have the same issue. I have a few pennies paid here, maybe a dollar there, but after a while it adds up. I'm paying for 'other'.
Why can't the 'other' category include Amazon paying me? Just a few cents, and I'd be happy.
Could a mod please explain this? @SEAmod

In this post, the OP claims that he lost $3,577 to 'other'.

I have large amounts coming out, like others. The only solution is to go to the statements that have the charge then have it open in transactions and line by line find the order. It is slow and painful process. ON the upside they have added a dropdown in safe t claims that states overcharge for shipping costs.
Have fun and happy hunting.

I get them every week, few hundred dollars each time. Figured it was like when a cop gives you a ticket and you have to pay the fee for the paper. Very frustrating to not get answers, or even accurate ones if you do.

Hi there, my name is CR and wanted to hop in here to see if you still needed some assistance in finding out what the other charge represents. I apologize for the frustration in communication with Seller Support but want to see if I can find out some additional details for you.
Would you mind sharing the case # below? I'd be happy to take a further look and review any correspondence provided to this point.

There are numerous threads about this. The other charges are carrier adjustment charges, you can download a report that will list out the amounts for each order.
I have had several detailed conversations with our local USPS Postmaster as well as the Postmaster for our county and both told me the same thing. USPS does in fact have new machines that measure the parcel dimensions and weight, but their policy is to hold the parcels for customers to pick-up and pay the balance or parcels are being returned to sender when there is a balance due.
Both Postmasters told me with 100 % certainty that USPS is not billing Amazon at this time. I spoke to both managers at UPS and Fed-Ex and neither would give me a firm answer. leading me to believe that they are charging Amazon.
REGARDLESS - there is no way to get a refund for these charges. You can open hundreds of cases and post hundreds of threads about it, but this surely just appears to be another way that Amazon is making money off the third-party sellers that keep them in business.
