Rudeness of Amazon Customers

This should really be addressed by amazon to set guidelines for customers

There is no need for these faceless messages such as-

‘Where is it?!?’
‘Not Received’
etc etc

I actually feel bad if I have to contact a seller and inform them that my item has not arrived

I mean, you get an order, you post immediately, then a few days later such an abrupt message appears on the day delivery is estimated to arrive,

It is very disheartening.

These keyboard warriors must have so much anger inside them that they want to inflict it upon someone else

Unfortunately people seem to feel like they can treat people like dirt when they talk to them online. Sitting behind a screen seems to take away any kindness or good manners people have. It is a sad part of dealing with people online, you also get the other extreme where people are very apologetic for even contacting you.

It is all platforms and not just Amazon. I was reading some comments on a national newspaper website today and they made me sad to be part of the same race as other people. The nastiness inside some people is just appalling.

Amazon encourages rudeness by inviting customers to demand

“where’s my stuff?”

I used to work in an aftersales department in the motor trade and would consider this OK compared to the way I used to get spoken to haha.

Unfortunately due to customer satisfaction ratings/5 stars etc the power has been put in the customers hands and they know it.

I learnt in the motor trade to just rise above it and be polite.

Customer satisfaction surveys are ruining companies and that’s a fact, sometimes it’s completely out of your control but still get penalised for it.

100% agree that those messages are awful

For some reason (not specific to amazon)
Seems to be worse on Thursday’s
Unfortunately even phone customers are getting g worse just speaking down to people and how they are much better than they are.

This is why I no longer trust any feedback on any website unless there is a full On influx of negatives.

disheartening? maybe on an emotional level.

but on a financial level? it is a strong indicator of profit.

when buyers think they are in control they will spend more money and think without as much logical input, meaning more profit for us. so I get Amazon’s buyer-centric attitude really.

it’s like police interrogations where the detectives act stupid to give illusory control to the interviewee for as long as possible to extract as much as they can.

still though I get that you are irked by these messages. personally I hate when people turn statements into questions simply by adding a question mark? … it’s so bloody lazy?

Hi this hasn’t arrived yet?
This says delivered but it isn’t?
I ordered these this morning and they haven’t been delivered?
I am really disappointed these haven’t arrived?

are you, luv, that’s super

Amazon is to blame for much of this. They have trained their customers to be demanding and rude. Just look at some of the messages SS just forward on to us, when they should be pulling the customer up and telling them their attitude is unacceptable.
